Where is the basic traffic education happening to the drivers in the country? Many of them are trained to drive - without any concern for others on the road. I thought I will share some tips on Right of Way:
At the junctions where there is no traffic light or cop: stop - watch - make an eye contact with other drivers and then move. If someone already entered the junction, then stay back and let them move on - they have the right of way. Never choke the junction or put your nose blocking others - it only worsens and jams the traffic
At corners while taking turn: Vehicle taking the longer turn ie taking RIGHT TURN. The ones taking left turn must wait for the other vehicle to complete the turn
While crossing parked vehicle or overtaking: If the vehicle on the opposite is giving high beam and low beam alternatively, then just stop and let them cross over. That is traffic language asking for permission to cross first.
Pedestrians have the right of way always - let them cross safely. Especially elders and people with disability must allowed to cross the danger zone fast.
Ambulance, Fire Engines, Police vehicles on duty have right of way. Pull aside and let them go.
